Digital Documentation Made Simple
(Sunday, March 15 - Friday, March 20, 2009)

Location:http://knowschools.ca
Facilitator: Bernadette Rego, Canada

In this knowWEEK we will be exploring the definition of "digital documentation" and how it can raise your classroom's profile within your school community. We will be finding ways of simplifying how we document student work by using only photography and text as our media. We will be primarily exploring Picasa Web Albums and Flickr as ways of sharing what and how students learn. We also will be exploring successes and challenges of digital documentation. As part of the knowWEEK, students will be encouraged to digitally document something happening in their classroom and to share it with peers. To create the project, you will need a digital camera with a USB cable, a computer with internet connection and USB port, and a Gmail and/or Yahoo! e-mail.
