Digifolios
(Sunday, May 03 - Friday, May 08, 2009)

Location:http://knowschools.ca
Facilitators: Cristina Costa, UK

Ramona Dietrich, Portugal

Digifolios are like an eportfolio but includes groups, rss feeds, comments on reflections etc. "Portfolios have been around for a long time as a form of presenting one’s work. Now with the emergence of social media, portfolios have acquired a new dimension: that of representing one’s ongoing learning path in a dynamic way. Educators are now replacing their static, paper versions with updated e-tools that act to collect, showcase and share teacher learning with others. In short, this knowWEEK is two-fold. It briefly aims at:

1. enabling participants to discuss how to show-case their complete work online, and

2. helping participants construct evidence of their ongoing projects, formal and informal professional development activities by engaging in a process of joint reflection and understanding (maturing of knowledge) of their learning experiences in community."
