Student Interactives for K-3 Students
(Sunday, May 31 - Friday, June 05, 2009)

Location:http://knowschools.ca
Facilitator: Sue Roseman, Canada

The challenges of integrating technology into the K to 3 classroom include:

- What websites will get students actively involved with learning rather than just reading off the screen?

- Where can I find simulations and other interactive learning experiences?

- How to address individual differences.

- How to give some students need more practice than others.

- Where do we find interactive, practice activities for students?

"Student Interactives for K to 3 students" will address these issues and offer practical sites and resources that teachers can use immediately in their classroom. Many of these resources make an excellent home/school or distance learning connection.

This knowWeeK is all about raising awareness of just some of the freely available apps that are out there and how teachers might use them creatively. You will come away with a plethora of practical ideas, a lot of inspiration and some realistic goals for yourself and your students. These resources will extend, enhancence and rejuvenate your curriculum.
